Essential Knife Skills and JBG-Veggie-Focused Dishes

April 22 - Essential Knife Skills and JBG-Veggie-Focused Dishes

Ever have dreams of scooping up every vegetable at the farmers market to make fresh, delicious and seasonal meals…followed by a nightmare of cutting into a butternut squash or burning your Brussels sprouts?

Join local Chef Sandy Caglia to make your dreams come true! Become faster, safer and more accurate with your knife skills to create dishes that cook evenly and look Instagram ready! Learn to dice, mince and julienne while meal prepping for the week with your own CSA box. A personal box of seasonal vegetables will be made available for this class with a little help from Johnson's Backyard Garden.

Chef Sandy will provide you with a recipe booklet featuring that week’s produce to make cooking after work a breeze. Students will leave class with fundamental knowledge on cutting vegetables, prepped and packaged vegetables for the week, and a few recipes that you can try out at home. Did we mention that you will learn to cut onions without shedding a single tear?

Friday, April 22
6:00pm - 8:30pm

Class will be held at The Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery. Austin's Urban Winery (121 Pickle Rd. Suite #110). Wine will be available for sale - please no BYOB for this class. No refunds, but you may transfer your spot to someone else.
