Celebrate Mardi Gras, Big Easy-style, with food writer and market chef Maggie Perkins, of Notes from Maggie's Farm. Curator of the annual Creole Crawl in Austin guide to the best Cajun and Creole bites in the city, Maggie earned her culinary chops in South Louisiana, and shares her love for the region's food in word, photo, and instruction.
In this 2-hour class, you'll learn the secrets to creating a crowd-pleasing, authentic Jambalaya teeming with pork, chicken, and shrimp, served with traditional garlic toasts and Maggie's very favorite - Creole Shrimp Remoulade. Be sure to leave just a smidgen of room for dessert: Maggie's own Pralines with Chicory-enriched Coffee.
You'll PASS A GOOD TIME, CHER, and leave with some Creole culinary lore, new skills and recipes to practice at home, and a happy and satisfied appetite.
Class will be held at Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery (121 Pickle Rd. suite #110). No refunds, but you may transfer your spot to someone else. Wine and cider will be available for purchase - please no BYOB for this class.
